? Assist Risk Advisor, Operational Risk, IFS China to implement the Group Operational Risk Management Frameworks, including appropriate business continuity, fraud & security risk management and delegations of authority frameworks.
? Assist Risk Advisor, Operational Risk, IFS China on developing an appropriate risk governance structure (management committees.
? Assist in developing policies and procedures for local staff, including adapting existing Group policies.
? Periodic reporting to IFS Head Office as appropriate and ensure all reports are accurate, submitted within prescribed timelines.
? Arrange induction / on-going risk awareness training requirements for local staff.
? Identify, assess and provide advice on risk management needs and risks in relation to establishment of IFS China operations, development of IFS China products and marketing and delivery of such products.
? Develop policies and procedures for local staff, including adapting existing Group policies.
? Periodic reporting to IFS Head Office as appropriate.
? Undertake periodic reviews of the IFS’s China activities and processes to ensure operational integrity.
Contribution to Business / Profit
? Optimise risk management to align with risk adjusted performance and growth objectives.
? Translate Group risk appetite into appropriate risk-return policies for IFS China.
? Identify opportunities and implement strategies for improving risk management policy and process.
? Provide input to XXX Group level reporting for relevant information / data for risk management reporting.
? Understand and apply the operational risk frameworks for IFS China operations.
? Be a trusted risk advisor to the IFS China operations business in contributing to decision making processes

Leadership / Management

? Apply XXX’s people management systems to effectively manage such issues as occupational health and safety, recruiting and onboarding new staff, coaching and staff development, setting KRA’s and KPI’s, creating development plans, supervising work, providing feedback formally and informally, carrying out disciplinary procedures when necessary, recognising and rewarding staff, etc.
? Influence and shape the risk management culture in alignment with the IFS culture to achieve outcomes for business targets that are sustainable into the future.
? Apply the management systems and processes of the organisation to effectively carry out your accountabilities in relation to your resources [people and budget], including planning, project management, decision-making, implementation, monitoring of outcomes, and reporting.
? A key point of liaison for risk management requirements including working in conjunction within the internal XXX protocol for contact with regulators.
Risk Management / Compliance
? Ensure that you, and any team members under your direct leadership, comply with the Group’s Occupational Health and Safety policy, all other internal Group policies and procedures, and any relevant external legislative requirements.
? In relation to your role, identify and assess the risks which could prevent you from achieving the objectives of your role. Plan and execute risk mitigating procedures. On a regular basis, meet, discuss and obtain reports from the businesses their risk management results.
General / Other
? Undertake any other tasks assigned that you have the capability to perform safely.
? Continuously review and enhance reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness and efficiency.
? Actively manage team resourcing requirements in order to achieve key objectives in consideration of the business growth objectives of the IFS China operations.
? Report and manage the resolution of risk issues, breaches and incidents.
? Develop, execute, monitor and improve operational risk frameworks to meet Group and IFS risk appetites.
? Keep up to date with both local and international standards and regulations in order to support management decision making and key compliance risk management.
