Job Title: Events Manager

Department: Marketing Operations

Reporting to: Senior Events Manager (Dutch)

Location: Shanghai


The Marketing Operations department supports brands in operational and analytical activities that enable the marketing departments to measure and monitor marketing and advertising budgets, planning, project work, and campaign results while systematically improving marketing effectiveness and efficiency.


Marketing Operations involves a range of processes concerned with finding out what consumers want, and then providing it for them. The company has established a great positive growing reputation in China. The Marketing Operations team plays an important role of understanding the Chinese Customer, raising brand awareness and providing better products and services to the Chinese Customers. It involves brand/product research, brand/product strategy, advertisements, customer relationships and Media, Customer and Corporate events. From the start of product design to the end of customers' experience, the Marketing Operations department plays a key role in communicating with different parties and balancing the skills and aspirations of those parties in order to satisfy its customers in China.


The Role & Key Responsibilities:

? Plan and execute all Events, including all product launches, ride & drives, events to support ATL campaigns and events supporting sponsorship activity.

? Relationship building with key internal stakeholders

? Negotiate agreements with outside suppliers to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service.

? Implement the annual Events strategy to fulfil overall marketing objectives.

? Liaison with external parties and strategic partners, support Marketing function to define and create appropriate customer experience, in order to enhance brand awareness and generate more business opportunities.

? Maintain yearly corporate event calendar, and publish an updated version regularly to all parties involved

? Apply pre and post marketing event evaluation reports and communicate the success of each event to management on a monthly and yearly basis including budget recap, KPI performance, participant feedback and learning for future events.

? Conduct research and develop feasibility studies to identify new event opportunities for China

? Work with the event agency and all other relevant agencies to work out the best way to support marketing objectives.

? Develop corporate event guidelines that all stakeholders understand and follow those for each event.

? Manage and track budgets, according to the company's financial requirements.


Skills, experience and qualifications required:

? Bachelor's degree a must

? Experience in marketing, especially event management area for at 3 years

? Self motivated, independent, able to take initiatives and drive change

? Ability to multitask and set priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy

? Ability to influence key stakeholders

? Has customer-focused mindset, responsible, integrity, innovative and drive for result

? Highly proficient in Microsoft office software skills especially Powerpoint

? Good presentation skills.

? Effective time management, organizational and leadership skills.

? Excellent oral and written communication skills for both English and Mandarin.

? Ability and willingness to travel on a regular basis.
