Objective of job

• To monitor and manage the technical and quality related issues from all three VPC’s (Tianjin, Shanghai, Xinsha) which import CBU – vehicles. Support, coordinate and solve with the VPC QM- team members all technical issues in the VPC’s and be responsible for the reporting and monitoring of the VPC Quality figures.
• Monitor the PDI and repair quality from the vendors in all the VPC’s via a Quality Gate aiming also the improvement for the lead time of the vehicles. Communicate with all the involved BU’s for all VPC QM related matters, monitor and ensure the utmost quality before the vehicles get delivered to the dealers.

• University qualified and/or Master degree in the Automotive field with at least 5 years experience, Ability to speak Mandarin, English

• Needs to have strong management and leadership skills and/or potential, a proven strong technical leadership and also to lead cross-functional teams as well as a good analytical and problem solving skills which are essential.

Task designation

• Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) Quality Management
• Monitor and ensure the new vehicles Pre-Inspection according to the standard MB Pre-Inspection report and their quality in the VPC
• Monitor the technical check of 5 to 10 % of the PDI vehicles at the Q-Gate in the VPC and prepare the report accordingly
• Technical Support
• Coordinate in the Central Office QM team in cooperation with the VPC QM teams for the most sufficient technical support, also if needed in cooperation with DAG f and ensure an efficient technical solution for the VPC in order to get the most efficient lead time for the PDI vehicles.
• Product Analysis
• Analyze product problems, prepare technical reports in the QM-teams and present to the
• VPC PDI Quality Management Senior Manager and prepare countermeasures to improve the situation.
• Monitor Guidelines
• Implementation and monitoring of an internal and regular reporting process / data recording / evaluation system and implement/coordinate the countermeasures with the BU’s.
• Information
• Provide technical lectures/information’s to ensure, that the QM teams, the VPC and MBCL VL have the up to date technical knowledge in the QM-teams and the VPC for technical repair and problem solving methods.
• Relationship
• Cultivate good relations and contacts to the counterparts at VPC, MBCL VL and other business related departments.
• Personnel Development/Leadership
• Management of assigned personnel’s through information, coordination and communication. Allocation and delegation of tasks and sensibilities. Provide regular performance feedback. Define and agree on qualification and development measures. Initiate and maintain a team oriented working environment.

As a joint-venture wholesale company, Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd (MBCL), imports almost the entire MBC passenger car product line to mainland China, and manages the brand, sales, service and distribution for MBC products in China. MBCL also oversees the Hong Kong operation via Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Ltd. (a 100% Daimler AG subsidiary), which manages the imported MBC passenger cars and CV for Hong Kong and Macau.
