职位描述
Job Purpose
Develop and manage the research process for biz in China. China Research provides sound fundamental supply/demand information as a strategic input for the global cotton research analysis and a basis for local and global trading strategies. Research is an integrated part of the trading group with strong stakeholder linkage and buy-in.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage the cotton research structure in China to gather, structure and analyze all relevant supply/demand and price data for the cotton trading group
2. Ensure the development and maintenance of supply/demand and price database for cotton in China
3. Ensure adoption of sound crop forecasting methodology and techniques
4. Implement consistent cotton research practices in China, including macroeconomic and political analysis
5. Conduct trade flow analysis and overall demand trend analysis in China
6. Leverage internal and external network to gather market intelligence
7. Drive synergies with other internal soft commodities research teams
8. Ensure close stakeholder linkage and feedback

1. Provide timely supply/demand data and analysis for China
2. Establish quantitative measurements for crop forecasting in China
3. Assist in generating trading strategies based on sound fundamental analysis
4. Be an integrated part of the China cotton trading team
Education & Experience & Skills
1. Education and Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Economics/BA/Agribusiness, graduate from Shanghai International Studies University is preferred

- Understanding of commodity crop cycles, weather impact and demand factors with focus on the Chinese market
- Exposure to global commodity market analysis
