职位描述

Position: Product Manager
Reports To: Commercial leader
Organizational Unit: HTC – Shanghai
Date of Revision: May 2013


Accountability: This position is responsible for the effective management of product life cycles. Activities included in this effort include market research, which includes keeping abreast of industry trends, meeting customers to develop new applications for existing products, product enhancement and new products.


Essential Functions and Duties:

1. Direct new product field research activities, pre-production product field testing, and current product performance reviews as required to ensure the reliability and market acceptance of all assigned new and current products.

2. Manage the introduction of assigned new products from development through introduction into the marketplace to ensure that the product is available on a timely basis at the projected cost and meets the customers’ expectations for performance and reliability.

3. Make recommendations for the nature and scope for all assigned products within the present and future product line including recommendations for products and/or models will be dropped. This is done to ensure the ongoing competitiveness and potential for profitability of the product line.

4. Manage assigned customer special requests through Design Engineering, Manufacturing and delivery to ensure that customer needs are achieved in the delivered product.

5. Define marketing communication objectives on assigned product lines and provide the source data for all communication pieces pertaining to the product lines to ensure that communication pieces developed accurately describe product and product capabilities.

6. Working closely with the Sales, Design Engineering and other Product Managers define direct and continually seek to improve the project screening and prioritization process to ensure the achievement of the division new product goals.

7. Provide strategic and tactical planning capabilities for Division

8. Model and promote the SPX Leadership Standards to create an environment that mobilizes empowered people to achieve business goals.

Qualifications:

BS or BA in marketing, business or engineering. MBA preferred.

3-5 years of work experience in product management.
