Major Responsibilities:
The Digital Specialist is the project manager, subject matter expert, on several key projects for the APA Marketing Communications Team. This person will directly interact with APA markets to develop and improve the market’s digital capabilities and deliver regionally led projects. A key piece of this role is helping lead the Agency support team (16 team members) to deliver projects.
As Ford shifts its strategy to a digital first approach, this role will increasingly play a key part in the consumer launch strategies.
Specific responsibilities include:
With the support of the Ford APA Digital Marketing Manager, lead the following:
Help foster the relationship with our key Agency partners
- One of the most important keys to success is the great partnership with our Agencies. An integral part of this role will be working with the Agency teams and fostering a collaborative partnership.
Digital Support for Vehicle Reveal and Launches
- Lead content and communication strategy for the website to support vehicle reveals and launches
- Champion the strategy with the 11 markets to gain alignment
- Develop/approve content for the websites
- Work with global counterparts to deliver assets for the regional launch
Online Advertising Banners
- Lead strategy, development and approvals of Online Advertising for launch
Social Platform Strategy
- Lead development of content and other assets needed to support launches through social channels
- Work closely with community management team to insure launch messaging is integrated into conversation calendars
Owner Website & Owner App Development
- Work closely with FCSD counterparts to deliver content and structure for the owner site
- Manage continued rollout of the updated SYNC website
- Collaborate with leading markets, like India, to develop and maintain a best-in-class owner app experience
Website and Search Engine Optimization
- Manage optimization testing on the platform to help continuously improve on our designs and UX
- Educate markets on SEO best practices and deliver key recommendations
Experience and Background Skills Desired: The ideal candidate will have:
· Understanding of the digital ecosystem (either within Ford or at other Organization)
· High energy, self-starter, with ability and desire to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision
· Experience working with or managing agency personnel
· Solid data analysis skills and ability to identify and share actionable conclusions for analytical reports
· Ability to work within a diverse environment and team.
· Fast learner with ability to understand complex issues and develop creative solutions.
· Fluent English competency (written and oral)
· Meeting management skills
· Solid presentation skills
· An advanced marketing or business degree preferred.
