The role of the Research Fellow
The Research Fellow will combine strong skills in a social science or business-related discipline with an ability to relate the findings of research to the boardroom agenda. He or she will lead small teams of researchers on topics such as the Chinese productivity growth, the emerging Chinese consumer, the business impact of information technology, and the internationalization of Chinese companies. Applicants will typically have a master's degree and at least five years of relevant experience. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Applicants must have a strong command of both Mandarin Chinese and English.
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of and leads research projects that further Accenture's image and expertise in important economic and business topics
Demonstrate entrepreneurship, identifies opportunities and provides advanced leadership, skill and expertise in the planning, management and transfer of research solutions and ideas into practice
Establish strong partnerships with senior executives within Accenture who seek thought leadership and research expertise
Build strong external networks among senior decision makers, thought leaders and opinion formers
Recognised within the business for expertise in specific disciplines or subject areas
Write peer-reviewed research for economics and business publications, such as Outlook, Strategy & Leadership, Harvard Business Review, European Business Review, California Management Review etc.
Lead teams of analysts and specialists on specific research projects
Take responsibility for project budgeting, planning and other aspects of project operation
Design research studies that result in valuable intellectual property and thought Leadership for Accenture
Develop messages and articulate issues, objectives and results of research topics
Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external research and business communities
Determine research sample and target company participants
