Job Description

Data Architect is responsible for delivering large-scale, complex data warehouse and BI programs and integrating processes and technology to help the top insurance client in China achieve high performance business. The architect is responsible for designing robust data architecture and solution to meet client data management and analytics requirement. With solid knowledge on business operation and data architecture, the architect can help client propose the potential data life cycle management solution, design the detailed mechanism, determine the most suitable data architecture include to achieve high quality data and actionable decision making.

Key responsibilities may include

Design the common data architecture asset including framework, principle, guideline and template to guide the delivery team realize an optimized solution for the top insurance client in China.
Design the detailed data architecture includes data governance, master data strategy, master data management, data quality, data modeling, ETL approach, data storage etc for the top insurance client in China.
Design optimal data warehouse and analytics solution to fulfill the business/technical requirement.
Develop business intelligence and data management solution plan. The solution plan includes requirements, solution design, estimation, project plan and implementation considerations
Identify the gap between business requirement and data architecture and propose solution to resolve or shorten the gap.
Shaping and leading large-scale analytics project full lifecycle implementation activities.
Manage delivery team or vendor to achieve project objective and establish the KPI to monitor the progress, risk and issue.
Introduce leading practice and data management trend, Accenture PoV to influence client expectation.
Engage with client deeply at Manager and C level.
Represent the architecture design efforts to Manager and C-level executive.
Establishing acceptance of designs with client executives.
Cultivating client relationships and driving revenue acquisition.

Professional skill required
Deep experience on insurance data architecture, insurance industry solution and program management includes:
Common insurance data model, master data management and meta data design
ETL tools: Informatica/Datastage/Teradata/SAS (At least one is mandatory)
Database: Oracle/DB2/ SAS/Teradata/Neteeza (At least one is mandatory)
OLAP: Cognos/BO/SAS/Microstrategy/Hyperion (At least one is mandatory)
Data Mining: NCR Teradata Warehouse Miner/SPSS Clementine/SAS (Perferred)
Middleware: Websphare/Weblogic (At least one is mandatory)
Data model: ERWin/Powerdesigner (At least one is mandatory)
ACORD data standard
Program Management
Vendor Management

At least 3 years consulting firm experience.
At least 3-5 large scale data management and governance or DW/EDW/BI implementation projects experience for large life insurers in last 8 years (As lead data architect).
At least 10 years working experience with 8 years focus on insurance data architecture era.
BS in Computer Science or related, MS preferred.
