SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER – WIRELESS STORE
(Located in Beijing, China)


Amazon is the biggest E-commerce company in the world. We are building the experience for a brand new wireless store in the Amazon China retail website. Cell phone is the most pervasive electronic device in our everyday lives. Far from just phones, today's handsets increasingly function as MP3 players, cameras, GPS devices, and ultimately mobile computers. Massive smartphone adoption and increasing mobile network speeds have driven a virtual explosion in mobile web browsing, and increasing consumer demand for mobile applications and services is spurring the next wave of innovation and opportunity in the industry. Amazon is pushing forward aggressively to serve our customers in this critical technology space from all spectrum, Wireless store on Amazon.cn will be designed to be the most customer centric, trusted, comprehensive and authoritative shopping destination for wireless products and services. We need talent to help us realize our goals. After we prove successful in China, we envision taking what we build global and launching in other Asian and European countries.

We are looking for a sharp, talented engineer who is passionate to help taking our site to the next level to revolutionize the mobile phone/device shopping experience. We're looking for technical leaders who have demonstrated experience in building scalable, highly available online services as well as front end technology. You will drive strategy technical decisions that ultimately define the technical roadmap of the wireless store on Amazon.cn, and you will be leading key projects from ideation all the way to deployment. You will be working closely with both technical and business leaders to fulfill your mission.

Key Responsibilities:
The Software Development Engineers for Amazon Wireless Store in Beijing, China will:

? Build high performance transaction system through innovation and advanced technology
? Close collaboration with internal/external teams to integrate services and optimize the system performance
? Come up with innovation ideas to design and implement comprehensive system/features best fit the local customer user experience
? Lead and mentor junior engineers in the team


Basic Qualifications
? 5+ years of industry experience developing large scale distributed systems
? BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field
? A deep understanding to object-oriented design and programming
? Proficient in building software applications in Java and/or Perl, preferably in a Unix/Linux environment
? Solid RDBMS experience, familiar with SQL
? Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, unit testing and functional testing
? Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English


Preferred Qualifications
? Experience with agile development methodologies
? Thorough understanding of Service Oriented Architectures
? Familiar with JavaScript, AJAX, CSS and related website development knowledge
? Master at least one script language, such as shell, Perl or Python

亚马逊全球开店致力于帮助中国卖家发展出口业务、拓展全球市场、打造国际品牌。目前数以万计的中国卖家加入了该项目。包括亚马逊美国、加拿大、德国、英国、法国、意大利、西班牙、日本、墨西哥、澳大利亚、中东及印度在 内的 12 大海外站点已向中国卖家全面开放。中国卖家可将商品销售给亚马逊全球超过 3 亿的活跃用户，以及亚马逊美国、欧洲和日本的数百万企业与机构买家。
