Amazon China is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join our team to facilitate content conversion and ingestion. The Technical Account Manager is responsible for supporting our partner accounts using our content management platform.
This position has an immediate, distinct effect on the experience of clients of Amazon China, and essential to this role is the ability to multitask in an environment of competing demands, both internal and external to the company. Applicants will be expected to address chronic system issues, provide process improvements, lead cross-functional projects, and contribute to a team environment. Applicants should have a clear, communicative presence in person and in writing, and have the discretion to make data-driven business judgments on a daily basis. In this position, ownership of work is extremely important, and candidates should have a demonstrable record of guiding large projects to their completion.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery timely, accurate and professional technical support to publishers
- Process and respond to emails and phone calls received from publishers
- Develop and refine conversion and ingestion services available to content providers
- Bring continuous improvement to operational processes
- Proactively identify and address content provider integration needs
- Drive expedient resolution and root cause analysis for critical issues affecting content ingestion
- Facilitate the conversion and ingestion of a wide variety of content formats into the content Store
- Some content related test operation and test data processing
- Work with customer service manager in project management
Requirements:
- College or Bachelor's degree on Computing or related majors required
- 3+ years of technical, operational management experience
- Strong Excel skills, high proficiency in PC and hands-on experience in Microsoft Office
- Experience with SQL, ONIX, XML, HTML, CSS, DRM and other media formats background in software development or testing
- Experience with start-to-finish process creation and improvement
- Creative thinking and strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and good written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to manage multitask and to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Detail oriented and process focused. Must be able to follow the process and document interactions as per requirements in clear and concise manner;
Preferred:
- Experience in digital media and knowledge of the publishing industry is a plus
- Prior experience in process improvement initiatives or six sigma type of projects is preferred
- Previous working experience in multinational companies would be an added advantage
