Position Details Job Summary:

1. Acts as a System Test Automation Engineer in communications test equipment development.
2. Be able to work independently with product development team to complete all necessary detailed tasks such as functional specifications, analyzing/understanding system and feature requirements, designing test plans, preparing test procedures, executing detailed test cases, describing defects discovered during testing, writing test reports, then develop automated test programs.？
3. Responsible for developing test cases and test procedures for system acceptance testing for communications test equipment.
4. Responsible for developing test plans and procedures from product functional specifications, features and user applications using automated test approach.
5. Responsible for automating existing manual test plans.
6. Work with test engineers in supporting test plan execution.
7. Maintain the test beds and test environment.
8. Work with development engineers to understand and accurately describe failures found during testing.



Required Qualifications Qualification:

1. BS, MS Degrees preferred in EE or related.
2. Knowledge of communications and networking technologies such as Ethernet, OTN, SONET, SDH, PDH, ISDN, Datacom.
3. At least 3 years experiences in automation test area.
4. Be familiar with scripting languages, such as Tcl, Perl, Shell.
5. Hands on experience in C/C++
6. Ability to write system acceptance test plans and procedures based on system requirements documents.
7. Proficient in developing automated test programs for communications test equipment.
8. Ability to recognize and communicate issues, risks and solutions.
9. Ability to document test results, generate test reports and defect reports.
10. Ability to setup and operate commonly used communications network and general purpose test equipment.
11. Ability to work with development engineers and to accurately describe defects found in testing.
12. Ability to make tradeoffs in balancing test time with test coverage.
13. Ability to communicate in verbal and written English effectively.

% Travel Required 1- 25 Percent
