The responsibility of the Task Force Logistics Manager is to develop the logistics strategy as the BU increases its purchasing volume in the APAC/China region to extend to increasing number of product families and suppliers. Key responsibilities:

• Daily management of the suppliers delivery performance in line with the expectation of the Federal Mogul plants
• Management of the max min thresholds to optimise service and cost
• Audits of the hub, processes, stock levels
• Development of KPI's focused on delivery performance, cost, risk mitigation, reporting, recommendations and action planning

· Manage the evolution of the logistics strategy as the sourcing rolls out to more Federal Mogul locations and from more suppliers and across a wider range of product families

· Maintain a constant view on the market, strategies of potential partners, liaise with central purchasing to market test and resource

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to manage Supply Base in collaboration with multicultural local Procurement Team.
• Implementation and effectiveness of the new Logistics model for the Seals & Gaskets Purchased parts
• Support the Group Budget achievement with guarantee of accomplishment of all KPI's

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in business or equivalent experience with a preference for Logistics School graduates (ESLI, ISLI...)
• Minimum 4 years experience in materials management, production control, logistics
• Experience in the implementation Kanban systems within a world class manufacturing environment
• Good understanding and background in the areas of: Lean manufacturing, one piece flow, supplier development, SMED and root cause analysis
• Prior experience in China is preferred.
• Project management skills and ability present projects to upper management
• Excellent negotiation and Analytical skills
• Experience with similar responsibilities in a foreign countries is a plus
• Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent English is required. Fluent French and Italian is a plus
• Good knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle MRP's is a plus
