Position Summary
The Cloud Platform Implementation Engineer will function as a member of the Cloud Architecture Group on the WW Cloud Services team. The Cloud Platform Implementation Engineer will serve as the key resource working on client projects focused on the implementation of the cloud orchestration framework and integration with client's server, networking, and storage resources. The Cloud Platform Implementation Engineer must be able to multi-task across several client projects at any given time.

The Cloud Platform Implementation Engineer will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams (Consulting, Product Management, Product Engineering, Tech Support, and Sales Engineering) as well as Partners and other industry organizations to deploy Cloud technologies. They must develop subject matter expertise in not only products but also complimentary and competitive technologies.

A key focal point will be the in the development and delivery of Cloud Platform solutions. The Cloud Platform Implementation Engineer may also be called upon to assist in the development of best practices for new product releases, support knowledge transfer events, provide product feedback, and serve as overall technology evangelist. This position will require strong technical aptitude, analytical and problem solving capabilities, project planning, people management skills, effective understanding of methodology, and ability to communicate the Cloud Platform Technical Architecture to any level within partner and client organizations.

Responsibilities
The Cloud Platform Implementation Engineer leads all aspects of projects of medium complexity and takes responsibility for sections of projects of high-complexity.
· Plans and leads all aspects of CloudStack projects. Effectively multi-tasks across multiple initiatives/projects with a high speed of delivery.
· Custom programming against product APIs related to CloudStack, CloudPortal, NetScaler, and 3rd party products such as Cisco, Juniper, F5.
· Acts as a technical interface for the client or project manager when Architect is not available.
· Contributes technical "thought leadership " to the entire Consulting team.
· Implements technical solutions that meet, or exceed, customer requirements and expectations.
· Takes full responsibility for overall execution and delivery of critical tasks or projects.
· Ability to work independently to deliver Cloud Platform projects.
· Stays focused on company strategic priorities and allocates their time and resources accordingly.
· Works with and through others to consistently break down barriers between departments both internally and within client organizations.
· Exemplifies excellence by setting high standards for themselves and others, while demonstrating endurance and the ability to lead the team through major obstacles.
· Helps team members and customers understand the connection between industry events / trends and what is going on.
· Conveys the company vision in very real and relevant terms that others can identify with, helping others see how things will improve as the "future state " draws near.

Technical Knowledge Acquisition
·Build and maintain relationships with Product Management and Product Engineering Teams to develop a deeper understanding of solutions.
·Review functional specifications and reference architectures from Product Engineering to obtain a deep technical understanding of Cloud Platform Architecture.
·Maintain a lab to enable hands-on experience with new products and technologies.
·Attend third-party technology conferences to stay abreast of IT trends and the competitive landscape.
·Perform independent research to ascertain how products interact with other IT systems.
·Participate in technical reviews of product documentation and courseware.
·Maintain relevant technical certifications.
