职位Position: Legal Specialist

Job Description:

ˉ Administrative Support to and contact of Committee

? Support in project planning, organization and after event follow up

? Draft summaries and news of Committee events

? Support in budgeting and spending of Committee projects

ˉ Respond to members/visitors general inquiries

ˉ QBPC English & Chinese website update

ˉ Support Non-QBPC Events related to the Committee Committee functions

ˉ Review the IP news

ˉ Secretary of Internet Task Force

ˉ Help members coordinate the complaint cases

ˉ Help members to get primary advice on IP related legal issues from relevant QBPC leaders.

ˉ Conduct legal research, draft position paper and do other paper work under the guidance and supervision of committee leader

ˉ Assist QBPC leaders to review QBPC bylaws and practices for compliance purpose

Requirements:

1） 4-year university education with a bachelor degree or higher in Law, legal background is a must

2) TEM 4 (CET6) or above, with fluent oral and written English skills; (Working language is English and Mandarin)

3) Intern experience in MNCs or law firms is a plus

4) 1-2 years of experience in applicable legal disciplines, either in a law firm or as an in house legal is preferred

5) Excellent communication skills, strong logical thinking ability, good legal analysis skills, and being principle but with creativity and adaptability to resolve complicated issues.

6) Honest, and can be a good team player

8) Capability to use MS office software, especially good skill in PowerPoint , Excel &Word

Salary range: RMB5000-7000 with year on year increase and annual bonus based on performance

The Quality Brands Protection Committee (QBPC) is a Beijing-based trade association representing the interests of more than 200 multinational companies with intellectual property interests in China. It was formed in March, 2000 and registered under the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI). QBPC’s membership consists largely of subsidiaries of companies headquartered in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. QBPC’s Mission Statement is: To work cooperatively with the Chinese central and local governments, local industry, and organizations to make positive contributions to intellectual property protection in the People’s Republic of China. QBPC has grown as a member-led organization with dedicated and professional office servicing its needs. QBPC’s governing body is the “Steering Council” which consists of the voting members of the organization together with those representatives of member companies elected to various leadership positions. As currently structured, QBPC has a Chairman, 6 Vice Chairman and 6 Committees, each with a Committee Chairman and 4 Vice Chairman (the “Executive Team”). In addition, there are 18 Industry Working Groups which act as a forum for members with similar commercial interests to work together on common projects.
Currently QBPC is looking for an Manager to lead a staff team of 8.
