Account Manager

REPORTS TO: Sales Director

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main duties of the successful candidate will be to effectively strengthen the existing Product Group and Customer Sales Teams to execute our Global Profitable Growth Strategy. This will especially entail performing the following tasks:
? Achieve revenue, new business bookings, profit enhancement and material recovery targets according to Business Plan
? Understand the market, know key programs & customers.
? Know how to prioritize the work.
? Establish a solid understanding the product they are selling.
? Establish with all direct customer interfaces a trusting relationship for purposes of anticipating customer needs, maintaining existing and generating new business opportunities and to achieve the highest degree of customer responsiveness and satisfaction.
? Act as the responsible go-to and spokes person in all commercial and sales related customer matters. This applies both externally (in relation to the customer) and internally (with respect to the COMPANY organization).
? Acts as the link between the customers Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistic, Quality and Purchasing Team
? Holds at all times a complete overview of all customer relevant performance measures and clearly understands how to meet customer expectation in all areas
? Ensures continuous and timely exchange of information internally between all necessary departments (engineering, purchasing, quality assurance, production).
? Ensures timely and qualified response to all customers inquiries, concerns and requests and communicates/highlights disconnects between customer demands and COMPANY capabilities
? Prepares and provides annual business plans, forecasts and other standard performance reports
? Prepares and conducts quotations and price negotiations and in consultation with his superior prepares and closes all appropriate contracts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

? University graduate in relevant professional education or business management. As an alternative to any of the study courses, sufficient years of work experience paired with a proven track record of success could also provide the necessary qualifications to fill this vacancy.
? Minimum of 5years experience in selling technically sophisticated products that require technical explanatory support. In addition, he understands processes and procedures within the automotive industry in general and has already an established network within the key customer this position is aimed for.
? Should have experience in preparing, negotiating and closing annual and multiple years supply contracts,
? Should know how to operate in a matrix function of a multinational global company and needs to have a proven track record of success.
? Good English to a good negotiating level is essential due to the international alignment of the company; another foreign language would be an advantage.
? The successful candidate will display personal integrity and assertiveness and will possess the following characteristics:
? Excellent interpersonal skills, good communicator, moderator and facilitator
? Results and solution oriented with focus on achieving best results for customer and company
? Self starter with high personal motivation used to work with a high level of independency
? Good technical knowledge / technical understanding
? Solid experience / fundamental knowledge of international contract and commercial law and strong negotiating skills
? Team player, able to integrate successfully into an existing business team and to manage projects
? Business-mindset and willing to travel
