About the job
- Deeply understand internet services and update systems configurations to enhance reliability and performance.
- Work closely with the Developers and QA team to ensure efficiency on product releases.
- Deploy fully automated build/package/verify/push cycles for the server side components.
About you
- DETAIL ORIENTED AND CAREFUL - You're able to anticipate problems in advance, and responsible enough to handle mission critical systems.
- SERVICE ORIENTED - You get a kick out of fixing people's problems - completely.
- PASSION - You love learning about new open source technologies and ways to make systems more reliable and easier to understand.
- FOCUS ON CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT - Whether it's apache servers, postfix, or obscure networking problems, you like to make sure everything is up and running at peak performance.
- INFO-JUNKIE - You keep up to dates on security issues, automation and reporting technologies that allow you be the first-to-know about any problems with any of the systems you're responsible for.
Minimum Skills
- Good knowledge of release engineering tools and processes.
- Strong Problem Solving Skills in Linux environment.
- Scripting in Bash, Puppet, Python or PHP, regular expressions.
- Proficient in written English, we have to keep the wiki up to date.
- Experience with Hudson/Jenkins CI solutions on development tool chain.
- VCS(git/hg/perforce)
- Code Review(gerrit2/review board)
- CI(Hudson/Jenkins) and plugins listed as below:
- Static Analysis
- Find Bugs
- Check Style
- Unit Test
- Code Coverage
- Auto UI test
Preferred Skills
- Prior System Administration and Web Administration Experience.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking, load-balancers, DNS and caching.
- Developing monitoring infrastructure for applications monitoring.
- Prior experience in developing capacity planning and bench marking infrastructure.
- Performance Tuning (Linux, Networking, Web).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
