Field Application Engineer (China)

Job description:

A. Provide prompt technical support to all customers and sales force.
B. Contribute to the profitable growth of the business by providing applications support & project management over a range of power products, product testing & evaluation, customer & supplier liaison and customer & supplier visits.
C. Troubleshoot customers’ systems and provide suitable solutions e.g. to improve EMC
D. Ensure that customer specific products are verified and delivered to customer requirements. These are typically modified standard and value added style developments designed around standard power suppliers and DC/DC converters, using either internal or external design & manufacturing resources as appropriate.
E. Maintain an in depth knowledge of all products sold by the company including all new product introductions and to provide product information and training to sales staff and XP distribution partners.
F. Work on technical datasheets and applications notes.
G. Position will require some travel.

Qualifications:

A. Minimum of an Engineering Degree and 3 years experience working in design or applications engineering in electronics (power supplies or similar electrical subsystems preferred).
B. Must be able to speak fluently and write in English.
C. Knowledge of EMC issues related to power supplies and systems.
D. In depth knowledge of new and existing legislation and standards relevant to power supplies and their usage.
E. Ability to interact with customers and XP’s sales, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing groups.
