We are going to recruit a BD and Licensing Supervisor for our subsidiary based in Shanghai (150 employees, 100 MRMB in Sales with aggressive and exciting plan in China); the position is based in a downtown location in Shanghai with regular trip within mainland China and occasionally in APAC and Europe/US.
This is a company operating in the pharmaceutical industry and this locally on the entire value chain (development, formulation, production, sales);
The BD and Licensing Supervisor will report to the BD and Licensing Director.
This position is responsible for supporting the commercial growth of the company in the China and Asia; both in developing of company products and licensing products from international pharmaceutical companies.
KEY MISSIONS
Business Development responsibilities
- Choose, approach and present to pharmaceuticals companies Ethypharm technologies and business activities in Franc, China and Asia
- Looking for opportunity of new cooperation with clients in particular of Co-Development, Import, Licensing (in and out) and Manufacture.
- Follow up and use all sources of company to consolidate the pending projects.
- Negotiate, propose, redact and conclude commercial contracts with objective of cash income and long term supply either pellets or finished products.
- Make and achieve affiliate cash and revenue target through Co-Development or Licensing (in and out)
- Follow and provide service to customers to maintain relationship and look for new opportunities to cooperate.
- In conjunction with the HQ company Portfolio (mainly in addition and pain management products), plan and implement tactics to achieve set targets.
- Attends local and internationals events for introduce company technology/products and source new potential licensing-in opportunity
- Understand partners situation and their needs, to look for cooperation new possibilities
- Provision of strategic commercial direction to all functions to promote and support business development and growth, and new product launches
- Deliver monthly rep
- orts, and quarterly prospection plan updates
Project Evaluation and Management missions
In collaboration with others functional department, participate to pipeline management and new project evaluation:
- Analyze market data and analysis from and with MKT department
- Pipeline management and new Project evaluation
- IP evaluation with outsourcing partners and/or internal resources
- Coordinate internal departments (R&D, registration, marketing etc.) and relevant department in the Group, provide to partners scientific supports and necessary information.
- To provide partners’ feedback, monitor the process and to push the cooperation by internal coordination and external communication.
Relationship Management
- Active participation, communication and collaboration with BD and Licensing Director.
- Creative, Team player, problem settled and work under pressure
- Build lasting relationships with clients and prospects
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, senior and junior colleagues across the business unit.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE – SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Chinese national or returnee preferred (M/F) with mandatory international exposure (studying, living or working)
- Fluent and professional English and Mandarin (writing and speaking) – French is a big plus
- Master Degree Minimum, MBA preferred (ideally with medical or pharmacy with sales-marketing exposure)
- Natural commercially oriented and experienced in business development in pharmaceutical industry in China
- 3 to 4 Years minimum in pharmaceuticals
- Experience in licensing in / out is a BIG plus
- Existing network and relationship in pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in manufacturing and distribution environment in organization of +/- 200 staffs
- knowledge of China pharmaceuticals market, rules and regulations on drug development and import
- Familiar with and comfortable in formulating business model and revenues structures
