Verification/Emulation is the number one bottleneck in SOC designs today. Synopsys is uniquely positioned to offer the most complete verification and emulation solution in the market today.
The job responsibilities involve analysis of customers current verification methodology, presentation and deployment of VCS verification, hardware emulation methodologies including UVM and VMM, driving the verification benchmarks, developing and delivering the technical trainings, managing the alpha and beta customer rollout, and providing the technical support.

As an Applications Consultant you will be responsible for interacting with and supporting key customers, helping them analyze and resolve complex verification issues for their cutting edge SoC designs, and learn to mold their technical requirements into a mutually rewarding growth opportunity. Leveraging your close interaction with customers, R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams you will be able to influencing development of next generation verification tools and emulation products by defining the future direction and scope of enhancements, flows, and methodologies.
Emulation AC’s have the opportunity to work with various customers, giving them abundant exposure to different design styles and verification methodologies that are being used in the industry today. To achieve first-pass silicon all the RTL code must be thoroughly and effectively verified. He/She partners with customers helping them improve their complex verification/emulation environments through training, deployment assistance, methodology guidance, and technical account management. This keeps the emulation AC abreast with the complex verification environments being used in the Semiconductor industry today.

The Emulation AC works with Synopsys Sales Team on product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking. He/She plays an active role in account planning jointly with other ACs deploying other verification tools and works as part of the account team to develop solutions to customer problems based on their insight into the customers' needs and issues. He/She is the face of Synopsys at the customer site and the eyes and ears for Synopsys at this account.

Requirements:

? We are looking for expert level engineers who have proficiency in SoC design methodologies and technologies, who have demonstrated experience in the complete design validation cycle, who are driven to help customers achieve their verification and emulation goals.
? Great communication skills and proven ability to help our customers and our organization be successful.
? Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills required. Familiarity with RTL synthesis, mapping RTL to FPGA gates, scripting language, Unix/Linux development environment.
? We are interested in the following Verification skill sets: Hardware prototyping and emulation, Methodology including UVM and VMM; Languages including SystemVerilog, SystemC, Verilog, SystemC; Low Power verification with UPF.

? Excellent customer interface, negotiation, communication and planning skills
