About the Position
NorCap China Internships, a company founded in 2011 to provide enriched professional internship experiences in China for students and young professionals, is seeking a Managing Director to lead all aspects of its business, including China-­?ased internship program and global marketing and business development.
The ideal candidate for Managing Director is a smart, outgoing graduate of a top American college to with a minimum of 1-­? years of work experience and a keen interest in business development, education, business in China and leading an organization. The Managing Director will execute growth strategies for the company and market NorCap’s services to potential clients, U.S. university partners and internship host companies. The Managing Director will also administer NorCap’s placement and program delivery model on the ground in Beijing.

NorCap China Internships provides an enriched, professional internship experience in China for university students and recent graduates. NorCap was founded by two U.S. college grads: Bailey Carroll, a graduate of Yale University, who has led NorCap as its Managing Director since 2011; and Max Klein, a graduate of Cornell University in China and Asia-­㏄acific Studies (CAPS) who currently works at Intel Corporation. Bailey and Max started NorCap based on their personal educational and professional experiences and desire to help the next wave of students and young professionals in Beijing. Since 2011, NorCap has grown from 4 students to nearly 50 students per year, including two university partnerships with Drexel University and Yale University.
NorCap’s staff includes a well-­ヽonnected advisory board that consists of seasoned professionals in journalism (The New Yorker magazine’s China correspondent), technology (former head of Google’s China-­?ased joint venture Google.cn), media and entertainment (China head of Creative Artists Agencies, the world’s largest entertainment agency), social entrepreneurship (founder of Golden Bridges and U.S. State Department-­﹕upported Project Pengyou), international education (director of the Alliance for Global Education and the U.S. State Department’s Critical Language Fellowship in Beijing), and more.

Candidate Qualifications
? Highly-­﹎otivated, self-­﹕tarter who can work independently, in a team, and with high-­﹍evel external partners
? Proven leadership experience is a must
? Enjoys living in Beijing is a must
? Experience starting a company or working in a start-­﹗p a plus
? Experience managing a P&L and / or managing financial strategy preferred
? Native English speaker (required) with business-­﹍evel Mandarin (highly preferred)
? Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Position Details
? Full-­?ime, paid position based in Beijing with business travel to the U.S; the Managing Director will be an equity partner in NorCap
? Lead all aspects of NorCap’s strategy and operations under guidance of Advisors (co-­ゝounders); management responsibility for two full-­?ime staff
? Flexible and demanding entrepreneurial work environment
? Two-­﹎onth on-­?oarding training by NorCap founders on all aspects of NorCap’s strategy, growth model and
operations
