Project Manager (OIL & GAS and Industrial)
-for global 3PL freight forwarding industry
1.Company info:
On behalf of our leading multinational client, we are looking for commercial strong and experienced Project Manager for (Freight forwarding) candidates for Beijing and North China team.
If you are interested in exploring new career opportunities, and if you have experience from a Logistics Manager position in 3PL freight forwarding, we would like to hear you regarding the positions we are working on.
Reporting line
- Direct reporting: Managing Director
- Functional reporting: Regional Director
2.Main goals
- Increase market share in North China area within the Oil & Gas and Industrial Project area by developing a portfolio of new Oil & Gas accounts and Industrial Project accounts,
- Be the “one stop contact” for the Oil & Gas and Industrial Project international network,
- Assist with the maintenance of an existing portfolio of accounts,
- Support and coordinate the sales actions carried out in each branch (All Branches in north China), Reporting, Contract Management.
3.Main responsibilities
- Increase market share in Oil & Gas and Industrial Project sector: qualify, call prospects and design offers:
o Report the Minutes Of Meetings in the Commercial File
o For simple inquiries, quote the visited prospects within 24 hours, or send Qualified Sales Lead to the Network within 24 hours, under proper Sales Lead format,
o For inquiries calling for elaboration of a multi-country and/or multi-mode offer, interact with Network to explain and build a reply, that will be submitted to reporting line for validation,
o Keep Commercial files updated using tools and CRM
o Record and analyze reason for a client not to accept service offer.
o Carefully select a list of prospects and gather information prior to call them,
o Present services in a professional manner and carefully take note of clients’ remarks and requirements in order to address them, on the spot or back in office
o For large tender pre-qualification process, have standard materials ready for prompt but complete submission.
- Oil & Gas and Industrial Project network: relay or receive quote requests from / to the Oil & Gas and Industrial Project network:
o Be the NCN Oil & Gas and Industrial Project one stop contact between the Network and the Oil & Gas dedicated staffs (If any),
o Ensures that answers are timely given.
- Support the existing portfolio of accounts:
o Devote enough attention to understand the current accounts, review the SOP with PICs in the Network, and visit them if required with Person in charge
o Remain available for any of the current accounts’ requests.
- Market Knowledge, Product Promotion:
o Benchmark with Competitors in the sectors,
o Benchmark rates with market competitors,
o Maintain permanent attention of the industry’s headlines and upcoming projects related to country, attend gatherings/conventions.
- Support and coordinate the sales actions carried out in each branch:
o Agree with each branch on a list of prospects to visit,
o Provide each branch with the necessary O&G and Industrial Project marketing tools and basic knowledge,
o Reconcile all visit reports from each branch and follow closely the evolution of each account,
o Assist each branch with the sales actions, making joint visits when required.
- Reporting, Contract Management, Payment performance and Sales Administration
o Prepare Monthly activity report,
o Seek validation from reporting lines for any legal document issued,
4.Requirement
o Bachelor degree or above
o At least 8 years of relevant experience in FFW or Logistics Industry
o Strong expertise in Industrial Project handling
o Experience in Management is a strong plus.
o Excellent English Skills on Oral and Writing
o Good communication and leadership skills.
