Key Objectives
• BMW is driving innovative integration concepts for a connected world as part of the Connected Drive strategy. As part of this solutions for consumer electronics connectivity, smart vehicles and intelligent services are required. This solutions will be developed - among others - in the BMW Connected Drive Lab China which requires versatile developers and skillful software/technical project managers.

Major Responsibilities
• The developer are responsible for the end-to-end development process of connected, smart software solutions from technical design to SoP with respect to cost, quality and time.

• This includes all aforementioned aspects including consumer electronics, on-board solutions as well as back-end systems.

• Developers are required to have broad expertise even though a technical specification might be necessary.

• Within the scope of Embedded Automotive, you are responsible for the end-to-end development process of the specific software solutions from technical design to SoP with respect to cost, quality and time.

• Furthermore, you will be responsible for the integration of the developed software into virtual vehicle simulations for verification purposes as well as real vehicle environments.

Education / Degree
• Master University Degree in informatics, information science or equivalent.

Knowledge / Skills / Competences
• You acquired substantial knowledge and experience in software development and software engineering in the fields of mobile devices, embedded systems or back-end infrastructure.

• You are familiar with object orientated software development, C/C++, Java, software-/system architecture, distributed systems, communication systems and network technologies.

• Expected knowledge includes software development processes, testing methods as well as software quality management.

• Knowledge of vehicle components and bus systems is appreciated.

• Technical depth (proficient in utilizing technology with the will to extend/learn).

• Technically versatile (knowing many technologies, constantly extending knowledge base).

• Able to write well-crafted code (simple, maintainable, robust, reusable, well-tested).

• Knows all roles in a project life cycle, hence highly valuable project team member (requirement analysis both functional and non-functional, system design / architecture, implementation, configuration/build management, testing/integration, user acceptance testing, roll-out, maintenance).

Experience
• Software development (infotainment / apps / embedded).
