As manager of FAE IMM, you are in the leadership position in getting innovation to produce fruits. You will also be able to influence Freescale's product and sales strategies by your execution and observation close with customer projects.
Responsibility
- Lead the team of field application engineering (FAE) for industry segments to promote technically Freescale's MCU, sensor, analog product, etc., solve field problems, find application opportunities, and help sales team to transform them into business, and provide field feedback for new product development.
- Lead to communicate and collaborate with Freescale development teams for technical problem solving and discussion,
- Lead in getting design-win in terms of strategy, and execution.
- Lead in the project management of important accounts' execution.
- Lead and drive for demonstrable performance results
- Provide timely, systematically update of team's status, issues and performance.
- Coach team members for technical and professional development.
- Provide team management support.
- Lead in team building.
- Provides technical and emotional backing for team members especially under stressful situations.
- Expected to travel often to sites within China for solving support related issues.
- While hopefully by proper leadership, there should not be much emergency to address, but the manager should be the first line of leader to address field support emergencies.
Qualifications:
Qualification
- Bachelor degree and preferable Master degree or equivalent experience in EE, or similar domains
- At least 10 years of R&D or FAE experience of MCU and related application development.
- Prefer to have extensive hands-on hardware development experience with 8 bit/16 bit/32 bit MCU.
- Solid knowledge of hardware board schematic design, firmware development.
- In depth specialization of hardware development in one of appliance, or industry motor control, or communication technology, or consumer electronics would be desirable.
- Expertise in dealing with EMC/ESD issues would be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated successful experience of team leading in hardware and firmware development or support.
- Good interpersonal communication skills, with customer interfacing experience preferred.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin).
