Position: Yocto Test Engineer

Overview:

This position will be responsible for the Yocto/Linux testing. The Yocto Project is an open source collaboration project that provides templates, tools and methods to help you create custom Linux-based systems for embedded products regardless of the hardware architecture. You can contribute your code freely to the open source world, work closely with the worldwide excellent Linux engineer, learn lots about Linux development, testing, and so on.

Responsibility:

- Test planning, test case design and test plan execution;

- Analyze test failure and summit defect when applicable;

- Track defect status and work closely with development team to solve various problems;

- Automation tool development and automation testing.

Must Have:

- CS, EE or related major;

- At least 4 years working experience;

- Good C programming skill

- Hands-on experience on shell and Python;

- Knowledge of Linux kernel, user space and build system;

- Be flexible to take work assignments and dive-into relevant technology areas;

- Good troubleshooting skills;

- Highly responsible for work assigned and self-motivated;

- Good Reading/Writing/Oral English communication skills.

Optional:

- Knowledge of cross compilation and tool chain;

- Knowledge of processor architecture (ARM, PPC, MIPS, X86);

- Experience on defect tracking tool.
