PS Consultant

The PS Consultant works on projects as part of a team and will have the opportunity to lead projects (e.g., solution or offer based) within an area. He or she will provide thought leadership and help articulate and execute the strategy as it relates to the project objectives or the solution offering. The PS Consultant will assist in scoping objectives and developing project plans to support the requirements. The PS Consultant collects and analyzes system data to guide recommendations that includes changes in designs, technologies, and processes to improve system performance. This individual will learn and be responsible for all activities of an assigned customer project. Strong communications and relationship building skills are critical to deliver successful consulting results.

Key Areas of Responsibility

? Requirements gathering & analysis; Project scoping & budgeting; Project task identification & resource planning; Project task execution.

? Analyzes and interprets information for one or more data sources to improve business efficiency by using various analysis methodologies; developing effective solutions within business areas that reduce cost and/or meet business goals using judgment to assign what activities must be done, and ensuring data accuracy.

? Identifies root causes and develops potential solutions for innovation initiatives by analyzing data, processes and information through multiple techniques (for example, stochastic modeling, data mining, work measurement, customer surveys, trend analysis, and financial analysis); and making objective recommendations based on data, expert opinion, and observations.

? Works with Sales Teams, Customers, & other internal/external partners to build & scope operationally successful & financially profitable solutions and exceed customer expectations. Attributes

? Experience with process modeling, lean concepts, and Six Sigma tools and methods is a plus

? Flexible to work on multiple complex projects at one time and prioritize work according to potential impact

? Domain knowledge and experience in retail and financial industry is a plus

? Demonstrates integrity, strong work ethic, and commitment to exceeding customer expectations

Qualification:

- BS or MS in Industrial Systems Engineering, Management Science, Operations Research, or similar discipline or MBA with technical focus or equivalent work experience.

- Continuous education in state of the art work measurement, process modeling, business strategies and stochastic methodologies and/or modeling techniques.

- Strong communications and presentation skills. Ability to positively present themselves, NCR and consulting services.

- Minimum of 3 - 5 years as an internal or external consultant and/or project manager with broad exposure and experience in financial industries.

- Ability to Travel, multi-task, & successfully work in a fast paced environment.
