Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Provide manufacturing/product fit assessments and process engineering recommendations for leads provided by global/regional formulation/packaging development and supply chain
2. Lead, manage and conduct production plant trials for new product introduction and technology transfers in the region. Provide technical reports as required
3. Actively identify and evaluate new technologies for advancement of manufacturing agility and efficiency. Lead in the subsequent introduction/execution of this technology in the region
4. Provide process design basis and technical specification for major capital projects
5. Provide commissioning/qualification guidance for new packaging lines (as required)
6. Provide formulation engineering support and training for APAC production including troubleshooting, process optimization in operation excellence projects and safety risk assessments
7. Provide process engineering evaluation/recommendation for APAC FF&P technical procurement and capital projects review
8. Develop awareness of best industry practice through networking with Syngenta functional experts and external sources.
9. Participate actively as formulation and packaging process experts in Syngenta knowledge sharing websites and discussion forums

Requirements:
1. over 7 years of process engineering, manufacturing operations and project management in a formulation and packaging or chemical manufacturing environment
2. Experience in surfactant formulation and mixing technology is preferred
3. Strong communication, coordination and networking skills
4. Basic knowledge of process safety
5. Basic project management capability and ability to manage multiple assignments
6. Chemical engineering design capability and strong process optimization/trouble-shooting skills
7. Significant regional travel (both planned and unplanned) will be required to deliver this job role.
8. Fluent English in both oral and written
