Research Scientist, Film
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
？ Responsible for driving challenging Film development projects across multiple divisions and multiple countries in the Asia Pacific region.
？ Lead and own New Product Introduction (NPI)s. Lead multi-functional project teams, coordinates pilot and plant trials, gather and analyse data associated with all technology aspects of the project through statistical methodology. Determine logical next steps and recommend actions to the project team and management.
？ Organize and execute research activities. Involving the use of the appropriate Project Management tools and Databases. Responsibilities will include working globally with other technologists to develop technical expertise in a given field of study.
？ Works closely with Marketing in the design/development of new products
？ Identify new products, technologies, suppliers, and materials
？ Support development of key technologies that enhance long-term proprietary strategic position
？ Support all corporate safety policies and procedures
？ Utilize Six Sigma and Lean tools in support of projects
？ Support the implementation of the Enterprise Lean Sigma initiative
？ Develop and execute ECR’s at the plants in support of the development of new or modified products
？ Accomplish any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
Requirement:
？ Minimum 5 years experience in product development with proven project deliever records.
？ Strong understanding of engineering and polymer/plastics fundamentals with solid conceptual skills
？ Good communication, organization, interaction skills.
？ Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams and willingness to be a team player, demonstrate technical leadership in team games and proved record of successful leading.
？ Strong project management and team leadership skills; Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish
？ Ability to translate customer needs into product specifications
？ Proficient in use of statistical tools to do data analysis
EDUCATION:
？ Master degree or above in Polymer Sciences, Printing ,Chemical or Chemical Engineering.
