Global Chemicals Sourcing Engineer
-Conduct analysis of the supplier marketplace and market dynamics in order to assess present and future competitiveness and availability trends
-Manage and orchestrate supplier interfaces with Manufacturing, Operations and PPI groups for SCS requests
-Manage SCS supplier sourcing, approval, and maintain supplier performance levels to optimize total hit rates
-Analyze traditional and non-traditional supplier capabilities and supply base trends to select the optimum supply and value chain strategies that will leverage existing business
-Reach out to Sales team regularly and maintain an update from the market
-Represent the company in negotiating contracts and applying company's sourcing policies with suppliers

Manage / oversee the relations with vendors in terms performance and lead the negotiation sessions. Responsible to plan the category strategy for the upcoming year / season based on the historic data and recent market and economic trends.

Develop an expertise in the strategic sourcing process
-Develop and implement strategic sourcing and risk management plans for all commodity items through industry and market intelligence data
-Maintain expert knowledge of assigned commodities including industry trends, economic factors, supply chain security issues and key suppliers within each commodity
-Develop and submit standard material costs with supporting documentation annually and update quarterly
-Conduct analysis of the supplier marketplace and market dynamics in order to assess present and future competitiveness and availability trends
-Participate in the development of specifications for materials, components, products
-Lead the development of long-term sourcing strategies for international and/or domestic purchases and drive the integration of these into the business requirements to support company objectives
-Utilize processes, initiate and lead supplier assessment and selection processes for strategic sourcing objectives
-Analyze traditional and non-traditional supplier capabilities and supply base trends to select the optimum supply and value chain strategies that will leverage existing business
-Reach out to Sales team regularly and maintain an update from the market

Sourcing Database
-Direct the sourcing category, manage, negotiate and contract for materials
-Interface across functions and with 3rd parties to gather information and negotiate outcomes or prepare negotiation strategies for review / implementation
-Ensure traceability and change control process systems (PMR's)

Supplier Management
-Manage supplier sourcing, approval, and maintain supplier performance levels to optimize total cost of ownership of materials
-Agree and report on supplier performance metrics and conduct benchmarking studies
-Monitor, document and communicate supplier performance in the areas of quality, delivery
-Assign SMART actions, follow up and report on the progress and responsiveness to corrective actions and sample requests

Project management and Reporting
-Support supplier interfaces with Manufacturing, Operations and PPI groups for new product development initiatives or other projects
-Actively manage project timelines; communicate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure timely development of reports

Supply chain and TOTAL COST of OWNERSHIP
-Develop, document, support and implement improvements including lowest total cost, continuous improvement-innovation and safety regulations
-Develop and implement approved cost reduction / productivity improvement projects (lowering working capital, increasing yields, improving supplier operations and demand management)
-Report for regional and global SIOP meetings and provide regular updates on pricing trends and supply / demand issues
-Managing company-wide key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning and forecasting
-Formulate sourcing strategies that support short and long term operational requirements
-Track backorders in a timely manner and follow up on the sourcing actions to help reduce the backorders

Sourcing Process Improvement
-Work independently and as a team with cross-functional colleagues to source and contract on a timely basis at the lowest total cost consistent with company requirements
-Work in collaboration with planners and buyers in validating MRP requirements, issues related to purchase orders / invoices and resolving supplier performance

Negotiations, Contract Management and Savings Management
-Represent the company in negotiating contracts and applying company's sourcing policies with suppliers
-Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing request for proposals and awarding business
-Develop long-term agreements that support strategic sourcing initiatives
-Manage the implementation of the awarded supplier contracts and liaise with internal departments to resolve issues

Risk Management
-Develop and deliver reporting of key measures of commodity risk management in conjunction with the category strategy developed
-Support and Track Non Conformance Actions
