Title: Sr. Logistics Manager
Location: Suzhou
Reports to: Supply Chain Director – China Manufacturing
Position Summary:
Responsible for entire logistics strategy deployment and operations across all manufacturing sites in China, implement the cost effective program in support of dynamic customer demand and business rapid growth.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
- Optimize the import/export operation at Gateway, FTZ, and BLP to improve the efficiency with thorough internal/external communication, standard process, well prepared documentation and partnership with venders;
- Monitor international shipping to ensure operation control with high visibility, accurate documents and on-time delivery, manage all mode of local transportation;
- Achieve operational excellence in DC & warehouse, including inventory and order accuracy, safety, and Productivity through all approaches like Cycle counting, FIFO discipline, EHS policy, Equipment maintenance, Lean Concept and 5S management etc;
- Play key role in service contracting with 3PLs and other logistics vendors by working with Global Logistics teams, lead formal local service reviews with 3PLs based on well developed KPI,
- Help to improve communication with all governmental agencies to smooth the channel of import/export and ensure trading compliance;
- Develop team’s capabilities and skills to reach market leading level, establish stronger winning and supportive team spirit;
Qualifications:
- University above graduate in SCM, Logistics or equivalent, MBA is a plus.
- 8+ years solid experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and Warehouse Management in a multinational company, Instrumentation/Medical/Industrial filed is preferred.
- Extensive experience in managing various 3PLs.
- Advanced knowledge of Chinese customs regulations and other relevant legal requirements.
- Experience with Lean, Kaizen and/or Six Sigma principles a plus
- Familiar with ERP, knowledge of SAP WM or other WMS is preferred.
- Strong Leadership skills, 5+ year managerial position experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cross functional teams and governmental agencies.
- Good analytical and strong negotiation skills, high business acumen.
- Able to deal with complicated work under pressure, willing to travel in domestic and overseas.
- Good command of English, both oral and written.
