Responsibilities:

1. Key individual in the Risk Selection component of the PICC initiative, working on the design and development of the application and underwriting protocols necessary to achieve mortality results consistent with product pricing.

2. Strategic partner in the product design and pricing strategies for the local markets.

3. Key participant in the design and development of the Application for Insurance and Medical Questions.

4. Understand product design considerations and the impact to Risk Selection.

5. Understanding of competitive landscape in PRC

6. Ensure all documentation necessary to meet internal and external governance that exists..

7. Ability to train and educate other Risk Selection staff as well as provide direction on Field Underwriting

8. Accountability to the Chief Underwriter for AIG Life and A&H for full communication, consultation and collaboration of the Risk Selection protocols.

9. Proactively identify gaps in the underwriting process and work quickly to resolve with PICC

10. Act as a consultant identifying opportunities for improvement and issue resolutions to ongoing business

Requirements:

1. 8-10 years of individual underwriting experience or 6-8 years with a 4 year degree and either FLMI, FALU or CLU

2. Hands on experience with profit projection systems

3. Bi-lingual with fluency in Mandarin and English

4. Ability to work in cross functional team across AIG

5. Ability to work directly with PICC counterparts and provide necessary expertise

6. Ability to work with distribution partners on Risk Selection and Field Underwriting
