An Industry Leader in Toys is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Sourcing Specialist to be based in their Shenzhen office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sourcing professional to help establish and implement new processes and gain strong exposure within a leading global company.
As the Senior Sourcing Specialist you will have full responsibility for driving the supplier sourcing activities for the business and implementing measures in order to evaluate and benchmark suppliers in order to maintain consistent high levels of product quality and ontime delivery. Identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers in the region will be very important. Also responsible for compliance and supplier performance monitoring as well as conducting risk analysis and mitigation strategies. In order to keep up to date with market changes and stay competitive you will build an effective supplier network and develop preferred suppliers. Building strong supplier networks will help you to source quality materials, negotiate optimum prices, monitor delivery schedules and work within company requirements. Evaluating supplier production capacity, ontime delivery, competency and quality will be essential. As an innovative person you will establish a continuous cost improvement plan to identify those areas in the sourcing process which can be improved.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be degree educated in Engineering, Manufacturing, Merchandising, or related and must have gained a minimum of 5 years experience in procurement/sourcing operations and supply chain management. Candidates must have gained experience in MNCs and have strong knowledge of Toy Compliance and ICTI. Candidates must have a proven track record in similar positions and a strong supplier network with experience of building strong relationships with suppliers across the region. You will have excellent communication skills and a very proactive and self motivated mindset. Strong negotiation and analytical skills as well as strong influencing skills and customer focus. Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin are essential. Travel will be required in this position.
