Job Description:
You will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of highly talented Product and Test Engineers responsible for new product introduction. This team will be involved during the entire life cycle of product development from design phase until release to manufacturing. You will also be responsible for investigating and addressing all customer-related engineering issues.
So some key job functions include;
1. Career development and mentoring for direct reports.
2. Accountability for new product deliverables and providing regular updates to senior management.
3. Provide leadership in solving manufacturing problems requiring product / test engineering expertise.
4. Scheduling PE activities and prioritizing them for the team
Skill-sets and Experience:
? 10-15 years of product development experience in the semiconductor industry, of which atleast 3-4 years should have been in managing teams.
? Very good knowledge of new product silicon validation, characterization, test program development and driving yield and cost improvements.
? Sound understanding of new product qualification process is desirable.
? Proven ability to work with Subcon manufacturing in order to drive and address engineering issues.
? Proven ability to investigate reliability and quality issues using an 8D approach.
? Ability to employ best practices in project management.
? Specific experience with memory or timing solutions (clocks) products is highly desirable.
