Key Responsibilities:
Design Asia Range apparel & accessories based on brief from product management, in order to cater for needs of Asian target consumers.
Own the creative process, making sure that final products meet the requirement specified in the seasonal product brief
Support Asia Development team in product development

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
? Research, study and interpret market trends, conditions from a design perspective as related to golf and golf lifestyle, seasonal global design directions.
? Produce trend, travel and research reports in an accurate and timely manner.
? Develop mood and presentation boards to support design presentations.
? Contribute ideas & participate in fabric/trims brief and selection
? Design apparel & accessories that meets the requirements of regional product briefs.
? Prepare designs through sketching by hand and by using design computers such as Prima Vision and Apple Mac.
? Create working drawings and colored sketches for design presentations.
? Produce sketches/drawings for product catalogues.
? Ensure that all relevant information needed for the development process is submitted in a timely manner to Product Development and ensure that appropriate levels of interaction and communication are maintained with Product Development.
? Collaborate with Product Management on all issues regarding the realization of defined collections.
? Work with Product Management & Product Development to ensure that product FOB meets the target specified in product brief.
? Assist with design presentations to support the launch of products.
? Support other job related duties that may be assigned.


Requisite Education, Experience & Attributes:
? University degree (or equivalent) in apparel, design, textiles, and/or relevant work experience in reputable apparel or sporting goods companies
? Strong knowledge in fabric, garment construction & pattern (mandatory)
? At least 7 years of apparel design experience gained from sports or high-end sport inspired apparel companies
? Highly trend conscious and knowledgeable in Asian market (experience in design for Japanese and/or European markets preferred)
? Open-minded and flexible in accepting input, respecting commercial needs
? Fluent in verbal and written English and able to communicate effectively and easily in Business English, both verbally and in writing (command of Mandarin preferred but not essential)
? Computer skills on Apple Mac or PC (Illustrator, Freehand, PhotoShop)
