Sr. Program Manager

SPG is part of Microsoft Asia Research & Development Group (ARD) with the mission to orchestrate various R&D and Microsoft China entities in China to
(1) define strategy and enable implementation meant to foster a vibrant outsourcing ecosystems in China
(2) drive China outsourcing value offerings to Microsoft business groups
(3) develop and build talent and organization capabilities in the outsourcing industry. (4) develop end to end enterprise software and service solutions.

Objective of the Position
Be a key contributor in Strategic Partnership Group to develop enterprise systems and cloud based service solutions. Drive engineering excellence and make business impact to Microsoft China.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the SPG technical team to build outsourcing cloud service, HR recruiting
system and manage business model for other STB CORE products.
2. Be a technical expert to architect solutions and manage the engineering processes.
3. Responsible for implementation (project scope definition and planning through
delivery) of a complex product or program.
4.Balances customer requirements with technical constraints (e.g., application size,
available budget, hardware/software/equipment selections) to ensure project value
is realized.
5.Acts as the central point of coordination and management of planning, design,
development, and deployment resources as solutions move to completion and
implementation.
6.Promotes proactive and cooperative relationships within the work group by working
collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, operations, and applications
teams.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate should have

1. 8 to 10 years of experiences in enterprise system and business application design
and development
2. 3-5 years in program / project management
3. 1 to 2 years of people management experiences in a team set up (CS and
outsourcing vendor)
4. 2 to 3 years product shipping experiences in multiple release cycles
5. Strong expertise in .Net framework, data architect, web technology and Microsoft
BI stack that includes SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SharePoint, PowerView and PowerPivot
6. Cloud computing (Windows Azure, SQL Azure and System Center / Hyper-V) skills
are desired
7. Excellent business acumen to gain functional domain knowledge, understand and
gather customer requirements
8. Have successful track records in leading a deliver team collaborating with
developers and testers, managing customer satisfactions and building partnerships in a cross functional environment
9. Demonstrated experience delivering mission-critical applications including:
a. Line of business processes and experience
b. Development of business applications using defined methodologies, including developing functional specifications and data analysis
c. Experience in technical design, process analysis, and business application implementation
d. Experience with infrastructure operations processes and implementation of infrastructure projects
10.BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field.
Master degree preferred
11.Fluent English both in oral and writing. Conversational Chinese.

development and process innovation.
2) A strong strategic thinker, good business senses and can effectively deal with
ambiguity.
4) Excellent in communication & cross-group collaboration.
5) Demonstrated maturity in fostering win-win relationships with both internal and
external partners.

The candidate will be based in Beijing, China, and might need to travel between China and Redmond from time to time.
