Objective of job

• Provide support on the full sphere of activities related to recall and service measures for all business units and products in China including but not restricted to liaising, co-coordinating and authorizing all activities with DAG, BMBS, BBAC, DTBC, FBAC with the aim of ensuring the best possible and desirable outcomes for the DAG entities in China

Qualification required

• Education:
• Bachelor degree or above in automotive , mechanical, electrical engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum 4 years working experience in automotive industry.
• Specific Knowledge:
• Fluent English writing and speaking skills.
• Good communication skills.

Task designation

• Recall:
• Provide support for products recall related matters for all Business Units (MBPC under BMBS, BBAC, MB Trucks under DTBC and MB Vans under FBAC) and products. Organize and participate in all recall comities, technical investigations and any potential safety related defect assessments.
• Provide the support for the preparation of the recall plan with legal counsel and BU/JV/DGRC After-Sales departments, including the preparation of the Q&A with legal counsel and BU/JV/ DGRC PR department. Meet with Chinese authorities in cooperation with the technical expert representing DAG to discuss any recall plans and manage and lead any negotiations with Chinese the authorities on recall related matters.
• Service Measures:
• Organize and implement service measures in BMBS network.
• Provide support to regional office and relevant department on service measures.
• Monitor and follow up the completion rate of service measures.
• Authority communication
• Provide support for the communication and projects with China authorities.
• Provide training to the Chinese authorities on accident investigation, vehicle workings and technology, technical investigation related to recalls, liability and safety.
• Product Liability & Safety
• Perform the co-ordination with DAG on the technical assessment, including the making of recommendations to the BU’s based on the technical assessment.
• Arrange, co-ordinate and manage and all discussion with authorities, lawyers, experts, insurances on product liability matters.

As a joint-venture wholesale company, Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd (MBCL), imports almost the entire MBC passenger car product line to mainland China, and manages the brand, sales, service and distribution for MBC products in China. MBCL also oversees the Hong Kong operation via Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Ltd. (a 100% Daimler AG subsidiary), which manages the imported MBC passenger cars and CV for Hong Kong and Macau.
