Our client is a world leader in the development and production of air filters and clean air solutions.
To cope with the fast growing steps, on behalf of our client, Collars Consultants is looking for qualified candidates with high motivation to join the winning team:


Position: Sales Director, China
Report to: Managing Director
Location: Shanghai



SUMMARY:

? Staff and direct a sales team and provides leadership to achieve a maximum profitability and growth in line with company’s vision and values. The candidate will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the Chinese market. The role involves establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in assigned market.



ROLE PRIORITIES:

? Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
? Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales engineers.
? Responsible for setting budgets and sales targets
? Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
? Responsible for of identifying new customers and to maintain the present customer base
? Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
? Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
? Conducts one-on-one review with all Sales engineers to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Sales engineers’ sales and activity performance.
? Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
? Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
? Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Sales engineers.
? Assists Sales engineers in preparation of proposals and presentations.
? Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
? Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
? Recruits, tests, and hires Sales engineers based on criteria agreed upon by senior management, to develop the most well trained, professional sales force possible.
? Monitor each Sales engineer’s daily performance and compare it with that month’s objective. At the beginning of each month counsel with each Sales engineer to establish realistic objectives and action plans.



RELATIONSHIPS AND ROLES:

? Insures that all Sales engineers meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
? Delegates’ authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
? Sets examples for Sales engineers in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
? Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Sales engineers to build motivation and selling skills.
? Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
? Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
? Joint visits with each Sales engineer on regular base.



REQUIREMENTS:

? 5 years of experience in sales management.
? Academic or university diploma/ college diploma (Engineering degree) or acquired by experience.
? Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
? Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
? Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
? Able to operate in a every market: Projects, KAM, aftermarket and comfort.
? Clear business orientation as well as a strong personal drive
? Commercial
? Active and hard working
? Customer orientated with a strong ability to develop and cultivate relations
? Maintaining tact and composure when dealing with customers, suppliers and entities.
? Ability to take decisions
? Ability to work in a multi-discipline job.
? Comfortable working for the Chinese subsidiary of a global company (based in Sweden).
? Good English skills, both oral and written
