Objectives

The R&D Center in Shanghai has all competences needed in the development of new products and maintenance of existing products.

We have a testing laboratory for small appliances in Shanghai, which supports the Global product development within Floor Care & Small Appliances.

The laboratory is now increasing testing capacity both for vacuum cleaners and small appliance, such as vacuum cleaner life and durability test, fully automated espresso machines, coffee machines, food processors, mixers, irons, etc.

Key operational responsibilities

As a technician, your main tasks will be to;

- Be responsible for small appliances testing.

- Judge the ergonomics and general handling/operation of a product and the logic behind

- Check instructions for use and do corresponding adjustments and/or additions

- Perform lab tests according to test plan

- Perform some handwork daily

- Some knowledge about small appliances

- Evaluate test results and creating reports

Reporting to

You will report to the Team leader of the SDA lab.

Competencies needed

- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or similar knowledge level.

- Creative and pro-active in translating knowledge from testing into proposals for improvements.

- Some experience on appliance testing

- Ability to read and learn international standard

- Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentations).

- Strong capabilities to communicate with management and colleagues in the own product organization, as well as external suppliers, testing institutes and service centers.

- Organized and a structured way of working.

- Team player.

- Attracted by working in a multinational environment with different cultures.

- Prepared to travel (national and international)
