Head of Transport & Tender Management

- For our APAC team in Shanghai we are looking for an experienced Head of Transport & Tender Management who will be responsible for the management of international Wind Power projects.

What are my responsibilities?
- Coordination and management of all activities for the Transport and tender management for E W APAC ON
- Leading the team for the Transport and Tender management during the tender and construction phase, responsible for transport execution in regard of plan, operation and economy
- Responsible for identification new potential subcontractors (crane, installation and transport) that can be certified and approved by Siemens Wind Power. Support the qualification process for new suppliers. Support the improvement process for execution procedures and processes. Execute benchmarking against current processes, suppliers and project execution procedures in E W APAC ON.
- Oversight on planning and budgeting of crane, installation and transport on designated projects
- Development and implementation of project specific monitoring and control processes and feedback results and improvements into the organization.
- Oversight of organization and execution of route surveys and site inspection with/without sub suppliers
- Coordination of communication with the commercial department in regard to financial aspects of the transport for tendering phase and project execution.
- Managing the Transport team to supervise on harbors and other locations in connection with loading and unloading of turbines

What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Degree in specialized transportation with a minimum of 10 years experience in project transportation, especially in the Wind Power industry
- Experience in managing teams during project execution
- Essential to have intercultural and international experience within APAC and beyond
- Knowledge in project management methods and techniques, export control and customs, supply management and IT tools and methods
- Competent in English
