Siting Engineer

- For our APAC team in Shanghai we are looking for an experienced Siting Engineer who will be responsible for the management of international Wind Power projects.

What are my responsibilities?
- This function is responsible for 'siting' issues in connection to the bid preparation and contract negotiation process in Wind Power projects.
- Act as a link between Sales and Engineering on issues related to climatic conditions and turbine loads.
- Ensure that we supply turbines only to projects that will potentially be successful for the customer by evaluating site conditions and performing Turbine Suitability Studies.
- Ensure that any requirements Siemens Wind Power might have to the operation of wind turbines are present in a document to be included in the contract.
- Optimizes the siting layout in order to maximize the energy yield for the wind farm and minimizes the construction costs, i.e. Civil Balance of Plant and minimizes the Maintenance costs

What do I need to qualify for this job?
- In-depth knowledge of siting tools, such as WAsP, WENG, WindPro, WindSim, Surfer
- MS Office (Excel in particular)
- Experience with wind measurement data.
- Knowledge of SWT Turbines
- English
