Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Major Job Responsibilities

l Provide leadership and develop strategies for supplier quality/development for visteon.

l Integrate activities within buying organization to ensure consistent and appropriate mutual support

l Leverage resources to work with suppliers to improve the quality.
Manage plant Supplier Quality team by coaching, training, developing and selecting subordinates

l Coordinate and provide SQ training

l Develop and implement plans to achieve targeted objectives

l Develop a capable local supply base

l Develop & implement localization strategies

Major Job Qualifications/Specific Skills (Required/preferred)

l 3 years of quality management experience (required)

l 5 Years experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering. (Required)

l Six Sigma experience preferred

l High level of analytical ability to assess and resolve complex, technical problems (required).

l High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (required).
Bachelor degree with a major in engineering or equivalent work experience (required).

l High travel requirement (required).

l Demonstrated ability to work independently (required).

l Previous experience working with suppliers (preferred)

l Instructor/facilitator Experience (Required)
