Job Description:
As part of Microsoft Online Services Division (OSD), the Asia Experience (AE) group is one of the fastest growing groups in Search Technology Center (STC) in Beijing. We are determined to expand OSD’s global success to Asia markets and significantly improve Bing’s market share and revenue in Internet search. We are looking for an excellent Lead SDET who has rich development expertise and great passion for customer satisfaction. Roles and Responsibilities
You will lead a team of talented and highly motivated SDETs to develop test infrastructure and tools to define, measure and improve Bing’s critical Quality of Services and performance ranged from End to End search experience to Bing’s global datacenter operations. Your team will identify and debug issues and bottleneck in Bing search infrastructure and query and search result data flow. You will have an opportunity to monitor and analyze major competitors’ performance and provide meaningful analysis. You will frequently collaborate with development and operations teams in US and locally and deliver truly useful services for users in this exciting market. Your contribution will bring great technical innovation from Asia focused to Microsoft global services. Your team’s role is crucial, technically challenging and highly visible.
Qualifications
This Lead SDET position is similar to a Lead SDE position from architecting, designing and coding but also requires rich test experience and management skills. You should possess strong technical background and master software development principles and standards, and competent testing skills. 5 years minimal in commercial software development, preferred in Internet/networking/server products. Rich expertise and experience in C#/C++/C, other Internet languages and protocols. Knowledge and experience in Internet search, information retrieval, data mining, networking, and distributed systems are a plus. 2 years minimal for managing dev/test team and managing fast paced projects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills cross team to achieve common goals. Fluent English language skill is required. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or closely related major is required.
