The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing Corporate and Marketing Communications strategies for external communications and oversee the internal communications strategy to ensure that the Disney English brand is effectively represented in business and consumer media across China. The incumbent will be responsible for closely collaborating with the Disney English management and marketing teams to develop a comprehensive marketing communications plan, aligned with the overall marketing plan that helps both build strong brand awareness and credibility across China as well as helping drive enrollments at Disney English learning centers. Areas of oversight will include, but not be limited to, media relations, publicity, financial reporting, stakeholder and regulatory matters, branding, crisis communications, marketing communications and executive communications.
Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
?Build Disney English’s awareness and credibility thru corporate and marketing communication
?Actively developing and managing positive relationships with key media contacts
?Develop consumer facing messaging and marketing communication plan alongside with marketing calendar
?Develop consume facing social media strategy and leverage key opinion leaders (e.g. experts,mums) to build Disney English awareness and credibility
?Develop yearly big and bold consumer facing marketing communication event (e.g. expert forum)
?Overseeing and coordinating the communications and publicity activities of Disney English
?Delivering on communications agenda and plan in the local media community to enhance Disney English’s reputation
?Develop and oversee the most effective internal communications strategy to support the future growth of the business as it relates to operations, human resources and internal stakeholders.
?Managing internal and external communications as well as day to day management of the appointed PR agency
?Issue identification and the ability to see the big picture as to how it affects the brand’s reputation.

Detailed Description of Key Responsibilities
?Proven ability to work within a matrix organizational structure of a MNC
?Strategic input on the overall PR plan for Disney English in China
?Ability to generate creative ideas including one “big idea” per annum that accelerates the brand in China and effectively oversee those ideas from concept to successful execution.
?Overall management of the day to day contact with appointed PR agency
?Lead on China-based Disney English publicity, tapping into the overall news agenda of the APAC Corporate Communications oversight.
?Key media relations contact for Disney English
?Executing new center launches in the regions
?Management of key executive interviews with National media
?Management of key social media initiative from National media (excluding marketing based online/)
?Ongoing liaison with internal and operational teams to maximize efficiency and awareness of Communications Agenda
?Ability to work with media to shape editorial calendars according to communications strategy
?Development of key media relationships in China specifically focusing on National media outlets.
?Writing press releases in both English and Chinese
?Draft speaking points including development of presentation materials for executives
?Ability to work with Disney English offices in the region providing clear guidance and support
?Ability to work confidently and provide clear guidance to partner agencies in the region
?Crisis & Issues management support
?Assure consistency of image in public relations, communications and materials.

Perform any and all other duties, as may from time to time be assigned from management team
Basic Qualifications

?A university graduate with at least 7 years’ corporate and marketing communications experience either in-house or in an agency.
?Experience in working in a media environment ideal required
?Exceptional writing skills in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English
?Fluency in spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English
?Strong internal communications skills are also necessary to work with regional Asia Pacific -based executives.
