Role Summary/Purpose
SWS Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overall Region’ SWS business stability and the performance of Team members to ensure attainment of total Regional SWS Sales goals and objectives. Ensures revenue growth through direct contact with customers, Vertical markets sales, Enterprise Account managers, Dedicated Software Sales, GAMES, Products’ Managers, Application Engineers, Proposal Teams, Execution & Delivery Teams, Distributors and other 3rd Party Partners.
Essential Responsibilities
• Provide the necessary support, guidance and leadership to ensure Regional success enabling sales team members to meet and/or exceed their personal sales goals. Manage, monitor and track Vertical Markets Sales and Account Managers performance as it relates to their role and responsibilities, and their adherence to the GE IP Sales Process. • Pipeline Management – Monitor and scrutinize SFDC pipeline data to ensure accuracy, steady upward momentum and that each Vertical Markets sales or Account Manager is maintaining their required 12-month rolling pipeline quota as well as their 36-month Target Markets plan. • Margin Call Supporting - Work closely to support SWS business leader and general regional managers in the preparation of order/sales forecasts based on validated data from sales team and channels. • Opportunity and Deal Tracking - Serve as the direct reviewer of all SWS LOR opportunities and initiate the required drivers necessary to obtain and close these orders and/or contracts. Reinforce Team Members accountability for their responsibility of accurately forecasting opportunities in SFDC including the coordination of account activities on a regional, national or global level. Oversee the Regional SWS Sales Leader’s responsibility of leading “deal reviews”. • Coaching Sales on Active Opportunities - As part of regular sales reviews with direct report sales, discuss active opportunities, overall pipeline, strategy and next steps towards closing opportunities within the Region in the most profitable manner. • Increase Marketing Awareness – Oversee Regional SWS Sale’s efforts in identifying various channel partners (reps, distributors, and solution providers) that will benefit from assistance in demand generation activities. Participate in local or regional events as required to support regional SWS sales growth. • Ensuring a Professional Sales Experience for customers during all aspects of sales process and touch points including: Formal meeting agendas (reviewing with customer or Account Manager prior to meeting), formal follow-up stating sequence of events and next steps in writing, and issue resolution in a timely fashion.
Qualifications/Requirements
• At least 7 years’ experience in enterprise sales with experience in managing opportunities using a formal sales process along with technical sales in Shop Floor Manufacturing software system, and Plant Floor Automation Systems• Working Knowledge of MS Office based products• Working knowledge of CRM systems for pipeline and opportunity management• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese• Experience in closing millions dollars plus opportunities• Understanding of automation & manufacturing management Software Product / Solution Skills• Can Lead/Manage/Develop and Mentor effectively• Possesses Effective Time Management Skills• Networking ability• Strong leadership skills, problem solving and high levels of creativity and resourcefulness are required.
