Red Hat is looking to hire a motivated and talented software engineer to join the Quality Engineering team as a hardware certification test suite core developer! This role requires technical knowledge of both low-level OS, kernel and language skills like Python and C. A good attitude, motivation, and drive are critical! You must be a flexible self-starter who can come up to speed quickly with new technologies and can adapt to a growing and evolving team. Ideal candidates will have a passion and desire for testing and examining how things work internally.

Responsibilities include
- developing and maintaining the existing test suite.
- identifying and creating new tests for new hardware and subsystems.
- debugging and de-coupling software and hardware problems.
- creating and reviewing patches.

Job Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience on Linux/Unix platforms.
- University degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field or relevant professional experience.
- Strong skills with Python and C.
- Strong analytical thinking & judgement
- Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service and user experience.
- Experience with open-source software developmental methodologies is preferred.
