Project Manager

An exciting opportunity exists to join a leading developer.

The Client:

Our client is a global developer. Due to growth in the Asia pacific region, they now require experienced project manager to join their team in China.

The role

· Co-ordinate project related processes and finances including managing the activity of Consultants, Contractors, and Suppliers appointed in connection with office expansion, contraction and relocation projects.

· Prepare project definition plan, project execution plan, project directory and maintaining project schedule to ensure work is not started without proper client authorization and documentation.

· Manage the development of the design and monitor the production of the design against key programme dates.

· Manage on site activities between the project team and the contractor.

· Manage and coordinate the retail furniture and equipment ordering process and track deliveries.

· Liaise with Landlords and Government Authorities to facilitate and secure Statutory approvals for the Client.

· Monitor the construction of the projects through full time on site attendance and prepare reports on progress to the project team.

· Execute Project Closeout procedures and follow up defect rectification, ensuring all deadlines are met.

The Person

· Degree holder in architecture/interior design, building services engineering, building surveying, quantity surveying, project management or real estate related disciplines;

· Minimum 7 years of project management experience;

· Good understanding of budgetary control, resources allocation procedure, and financial acumen with strong interest in advancement into a Project Manager Role;

· Experience with project management consultancy, or in a project management consulting role or with a design and build contractor is an advantage

· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in both English and Mandarin

· Ability to work independently and be self-sufficient while managing multiple projects.
