Based in Beijing Regional Office with field/site work expected to be 60/70% of available time
Reporting to: MM APAC EHS Director, dotted line MM APAC President
Direct reports: China EHS Manager Systems, Standards and Compliance (New Role)
Site EHS Personnel: Tisco, Tangshan, Tangshan Plate, Tangshan Project, Hangzhou and Ningbo
Principal role:
? To formally manage the implementation of the Harsco Safety and Health Framework throughout China
? To formally manage critical risk including those items identified as part of the Harsco Fatality Prevention Initiative
? To display leadership and develop China site management capability in regard to observable EHS leadership behaviours and systems support
? To ensure robust internal auditing processes and compliance with Chinese law
? To ensure robust, accurate and timely EHS reporting and record keeping
? To develop the capability and capacity of the EHS function within China
Qualifications/Attributes
* An EHS Tertiary Qualification is desirable
* An Engineering or associated Degree with strong project management skills would be well regarded
* Experience in heavy engineering or construction
* Multi sites Management experience is a must
* Strong influencing skills and structure
* Mandarin with good English
* Demonstrated success with a similar role- preferably with a MNC company
