Overview
As a key representative of the store’s leadership team, the Events Lead establishes and develops effective relationships with all external guests who present, teach, and/or perform in one or more significant stores across a market. The Events Lead acts as the store ambassador to the arts, film, music education and cultural communities in their market and is responsible for creating a compelling event offering that represents the Apple brand and compliments the store identity.
Primary Responsibilities
? Creates a yearly event strategy and goals for each market and store based on global priorities
? Responsible for guiding the execution of the strategy with event and workshop team, helping to set priorities and achieving yearly goals
? Generate creative event ideas that establish and nurture the store’s identity within the community and in the market
? Communicate professionally and effectively with guests at all times to set clear expectations, achieve timely response, and ensure a positive experience for all guests
? Maintain knowledge of seasonal campaigns, merchandise features, store inventory, policies and procedures
? Maintain awareness of current trends and community activities
? Partner with store leadership to plan events that support overall store goals
? Partner with Market Support and Apple Inc. to ensure success of events programs
? Drive the evolution and growth of events and Apple brand through creativity and innovation
? Plan activities related to new pro’pucts and accessories
? Use NetPromoter/customer feedback to identify ways to enhance the customer experience
? Responsible for flawless event execution through team leadership
? Effectively introduce guests to the Apple Retail Store experience by educating them about our workshops, events, and services
? Leverage Apple Steps of Service to guide every interaction with customers attending workshops, events, and programs
? Owns workshops and develops a workshops team
? Promotes events and workshops. Develops both an internal and external communications plan. Spreads the word about upcoming events with store teams during meetings.
? Recaps events with images, statistics and a detailed evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses. These recaps will be shared with store teams and global marketing teams Day-to-Day Responsibilities
? Identify, secure, organize, plan and coordinate the day-to-day content, schedule and related communication responsibilities of the Apple Retail store event program for the assigned store location(s)
? Partner closely with the Store Leader and Retail Marketing to prepare the calendar of events
? Communicate events strategy and scheduling processes to store leadership and internal teams
? lead a store events team in the delivery of presentations, workshops, special events, guest appearances and other activities
? Build and foster relationships with external partners; e.g key partners within the community, cultural institutions, entertainment, art, design industry professionals and sound, lighting & A/V vendors
? Ensure successful workshop and youth programs through partnership with team leadership
? Partner with Store Leader and Retail Marketing to ensure success in attracting new customers, furthering customer education, and contributing to achieving sales objectives
? Act as the event lead for key special event logistics; filter sponsorship and co-marketing requests, forward proposals worth further consideration to Retail Marketing, coordinate appropriate response with Store Leader and Retail Marketing
? Maintain and implement weekly program and event schedule updates (all stages from data entry, to web and calendar promotion) through Retail Marketing
? Track, evaluate, and report on program results and challenges regularly (reports)
? Work with third party vendors to ensure events meet technical needs and visual standards
? Responsible for career development of Events Coordinators through team leadership
? Work with Market Support, event guests, and PR to ensure event promotion is within Apple standards
Required Skills and Knowledge
? Excellent communication, persuasion and presentation skills.
? Demonstrated project management expertise, strong communication skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, creative, flexible, a team player able to juggling multiple tasks and priorities
? Understands the fundamentals of organizing live events including booking, managing artists bands/ speakers, as well as the basics of the technical A/V side
? Have some connection and/or experience in the local art/music/video scene
? Be adept at managing relationships with third party vendors, presenters and other key partners.
? Able to work remotely and keep the market-based team updated on all details
? Able to motivate, lead and inspire a store team for successful delivery of workshops, youth programs and big events
? Able to successfully manage multiple third party and internal team relationships
? Able to manage the small details as well as the larger, over-arching store event strategy
? Familiarity with Apple hardware and software
? Understanding of retail operations and marketing a plus
Qualifications
? BS/BA Degree
? Equivalent related experience.
