Responsibilities

• Researches, analyzes and documents business requirements for developing or enhancing complex systems.
• Performs and provides analysis of business opportunities supported by a business case, feasibility study, justification, process improvements, options for solutions and benefits for each solution that will meet the current as well as the future needs of the business.
• Serves as a liaison to ensure Information Technology (IT) direction for unit/function is aligned with enterprise direction.
• Acts as a mentor and consults with co-workers on new innovative industry standards and system development methodologies as appropriate.
• Maintains a strong and collaborative relationship with the business and IT and serves as a strong advocate of the new/enhanced process or solution through various methods of communication to the organization.
• Participates in unit and integration testing or works closely with the testing team to ensure understanding of business requirements in order to ensure process/system is thoroughly tested.
• Supports business in developing and delivering end user training. Addresses end user process questions for processes that have been implemented, provides process/system break/fix support, and implements process/system enhancements of high complexity.
• Uses project management skills on project ensuring project plan, resource availability and tasks are met while adhering to the approved system development methodology.

Qualifications

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Understanding of computer technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development.
• Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions.
• Capable of collaborating with business leaders to provide information technology solutions.
• Skill in interpersonal communication, negotiation, supplier management relations and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of multiple business processes of assigned area(s) and/or function(s).
• Understanding of application development, database, and infrastructure capabilities and constraints (multiple Data Base Management Systems, DBMSs).

Education:

• Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
