Role Summary/Purpose
The Commercial Counsel provides legal leadership and strategic legal advice to GEIP in China,and reports to the General Counsel of GEIP. The key areas of focus include corporate business issues that the Commercial Counsel will be expected to drive towards business growth and more integrated and efficient processes and manage intellectual property with the IP function (co-development agreements, in-licensing, out-licensing etc.). It will also coordinate with the Compliance function as necessary.

Essential Responsibilities
The Counsel demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives in China. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall strategy. • Serve as a member of legal team that provides counsel for GE Intelligent Platforms on a variety of substantive legal issues. • Provide business leaders with legal advice that supports the business' objectives.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.• Member in good standing with the State Bar.
