Role Summary/Purpose

The Engineering Project Manager (EPM) will demonstrate accountability and leadership for the successful execution of assigned projects. In this role, the EPM will develop plans, presentations, processes, tools, etc. that meet needs across the organization. The EPM will be responsible for project execution, scope management, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance, resource management, supplier management, cost management, and project schedules.

Essential Responsibilities

•Overall ownership/ accountability for cost and schedule on assigned projects. •Establish, maintain, drive and execute to an integrated project schedule. •Establish, maintain, drive and execute on cost target, establish consistent cost reporting format and rhythm, real time access to cost data for critical path analysis •Drive cross-engineering and cross-functional communication/coordination •Supplier management •Drive consistent application of project management process/procedures •Establish common tool usage and best practice sharing among all engineering EPMs. •Training/mentoring of project analysts and the execution team of the project management process.

Qualifications/Requirements

•At least 5 years software development experience•At least 2 years’ experience in aviation related field•At least 2 years project management experience •Working knowledge of Project management, Earned Value Management, Risk/Opportunity Management processes.•Demonstrated strong organizational skills

•Familiarity with Tools, such as Open Plan, Cobra, Oracle (Time Card), ABM Spreadsheet (EVMS), MS project•Six Sigma training•Strong oral and written communication skills in English language•Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
